Information reaching Phelad Media GH from Obuasi has it that journalist from Onua Fm and Onua TV have been attacked by a certain individual leading to roit while these journalists are in line of their duties.
It was seen on our screens yesterday (Wednesday 7th June,2023) that the Onua Maakye Team led by Captain Smart, being the host, was telecasting live from Obuasi with the aim of bisecting the recent issue surrounding Anglo Gold Ashanti and the inhabitants of Obuasi.
The program saw many of the youth of the Gold Host City sharing their views on their various perturbing issues as they again used the platform to share their grievances.
The program scheduled to help the entire Obuasi Community has this morning turned bloody as a stout man believed to be the body guard of the Municipal Chief Executive of Obuasi invaded the venue to scatter and disconnected the Onua TV set up for their live TV telecast.
The report further says, this stout body guard assaulted some of the inhabitants that were at the venue who tried to intervene and to make peace prevail leading to bloody scenes.
In a video chanced upon by Phelad Media GH, the body guard could be seen in the act with a lot of people surrounding him in an attempt to make peace at the venue.
As at now, Phelad Media GH can confirm that none of the Onua TV crew is harmed.
