Following Phead Media's earlier report on a viral video involving four field officers of Bills Micro Credit physically and verbally assaulting a loan defaulted woman, management of the financial institution released a statement which condemned the incident and assured of an immediate disciplinary action.
In this late hours of Saturday, the management of Bills Micro Credit has again released a latest statement which indicates that the four officers have been suspended and are handed over to the police for further investigations.
Meanwhile, the financial institution being protective, has never in any of their statements given out identities its four officers.

UPDATE – BILLS MICRO-CREDIT LIMITED
Following the earlier statement issued by Management regarding the incident captured in a video circulating on social media, Bills Micro-Credit Limited wishes to provide the following update.
Upon the directive of the Board, the officers involved in the incident have been immediately suspended by the company pending the outcome of investigations. In addition, the officers have been handed over to the Ghana Police Service to assist with independent investigations into the matter.
The Board has also reached out to the customer involved and will continue to engage with her as the investigations proceed.
Bills Micro-Credit Limited reiterates its commitment to professional conduct, accountability, and full cooperation with law enforcement authorities. The company will provide further updates as appropriate.

In the mean time, some concerned Ghanaians have raised issues on the loan recovery operations of Bills Micro Credit claiming it violent and abusive.
