The Concerned Bettors Association of Ghana has expressed its joy over the impending possible abolition of betting tax imposed by the past NPP government.
This joyous moment comes following a confirmation made by the finance minister designate, Dr Ato Forson, during his vetting.
The Concerned Bettors Association of Ghana, popularly known as Investors, made this known to the general public through their president, Mr Richard Agudah, on Tuesday morning in an interview closely monitored by Phelad Media GH.
Mr Agudah made it clear that, the association was never happy when they initially heard of the implementation of imposing the betting tax on their won bets by the past NPP government.
He added that, the association lamented bitterly about the betting tax but the NPP government paid no heed to their grief.
He then disclosed that, the Investors themselves met and came to a conclusion to vote against the NPP government led by Former President Nana Akufo Addo, when President Mahama stated in his campaign message to abolish the betting tax if voted into power.
Mr Akugah further declared the Investors's full support for President John Dramani Mahama and his NDC government for the big favour and listening to their grief by putting smiles back on their faces.
He again suggested that, the betting tax on their won bets should rather be added to that of the betting companies' since they are the bigger beneficiaries of the game.
He finally emphasized that, the association is very elated upon the confirmation from the finance minister designate to abolish the betting tax on Investors.
