The family of the late Madam Linda Obiri Akuffo, aka Sisi, 57 years has expressed their anger and disappointment at the St. Francis Hospital Xavier Hospital, after the body of their deceased had gone missing at their mortuary.
In an interview closely monitored by Phelad Media GH, the Ankobeahene of Assin Nnuenua, who doubles as the husband of deceased, Nana Daniel Etuah I said, the Late Mad. Linda Obiri Akuffo passed on at Maamobi Polyclinic, but the body was transferred to St. Francis Hospital mortuary, around March, 2022.
He said the family made the required preparation to burry her on 1st October, made all necessary payments on Wednesday, sept 28, but they came on the Friday, Sept 30, for the body, only to be told the body was missing.
Some of the family members of the deceased who besieged the premises of St. Francis Hospital demanding the body for burial pleaded with the Inspector General of Police to take the matter up and fight for them.
The Assemblyman For Assin Adeambra, Nnuenua Electoral Area, Hon. Mark Oliver Gyimah who led the family to St. Francis Hospital said, the Hospital has pleaded with the family to give them 2 weeks to mount a search for the body of the Late Mad. Linda Obiri Akuffo.
The Sister - in - charge of St. Francis Xavier Hospital Mad. Georgina Donzing in an interview said that, is true the body is missing from their morgue and since it is a human institution some of those things were bound to happen, therefore they will need two weeks to investigate and search for the whereabout of the body..
