Chelsea were crowned European Champions for the second time in their history after defeating Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Saturday night.
It was not that much of an entertaining game for the neutrals but rather a defensive master class from Thomas Tuchel who perfectly squared Guardiola’s tactics leaving him toothless in attack.
In a game where Chelsea knew they would suffer much without possession, N’Golo Kante was tasked to protect the back three against the City attackers and as expected, he did his job so perfectly.
Playing in a deeper midfielder role, Kante was excellent at tracking the City players and made some recovering tackles that would put Chelsea in a good counter attack to hurt the Cityzens.
This performance earned Kante a third consecutive man of the match award in the Champions League after scooping two against Real Madrid.
To show him just how much he means to them, his Chelsea teammates carried Kante off the pitch as they celebrated him for another brilliant performance.
This was such a lovely view even for the neutral fans to watch and it shows just how much everyone loves Kante for his talent and personality.
