Twene Jonas has for some time now become popular in Ghana’s social media space. The young man is mostly seen in live videos speaking about issues in the country as they are.
One characteristic that is very common in Twene Jonas is the fact that he uses insults to attract attention on social media.
In most of his videos, he could be seen comparing facilities in the United States of America and Ghana. One of his tag lines is ‘glass nkoaa’ meaning most parts of the US have been designed with only glasses.
He believes Ghana can also transform in the same manner. He has also raised issues about the illegal mining menace in the country and accused traditional authorities in particular of refusing to protect the environment left in their care.
Just recently, a chief who goes by the name Nana Attorah, declared Twene Jonas wanted in New York. He is unhappy about the attacks released by Twene Jonas on Otumfuo.
But Twene Jonas has not given up. He has promised to continue speaking the truth until the river bodies are clean.
Many Ghanaians including maverick broadcaster, Captain Smart have expressed their support for Twene Jonas but a cross-section of Ghanaians have been calling for his arrest.
Well, the question we are asking is if Twene Jonas has been arrested. In a picture that has been spotted on social media, Twene Jonas is captured with four Police officers from the New York City Police Department (NYCPD).
Twene Jonas is seen standing in the middle of the Police officers in what looks like an arrest. The picture is posted on his Facebook page where many have commented.
Many were wondering if Twene Jonas had been arrested due to his public outburst but it looks the other way around.
It is actually a friendly image with the police officers. Twene Jonas is dressed in a black Lacoste shirt with a nose mask. All four NYPD Police officers are also with nose masks.
