| Another Man Beats His Wife To Death Over Cheating Allegation |
The Volta Region has recorded its third successive case involving men beating their partners to death over cheating issues in just two weeks.
Mr Gali Golo, a 28-year-old fisherman in Denu, has been arrested by the Denu Police for allegedly beating his wife, Madam Beatrice Logosu, 34 years to death over cheating allegations.
According to ASP Joseph Nakoja, Denu Police Commander, the police recieved information that the suspect, who lives at Akame, had beaten his wife to death in the night of last Sunday and had deposited his wife's remains in the morgue at Hossana Clinic in Agbozume in the Volta region.
The police then headed to the said Clinic to indeed discover that the remains of the victim was present in the mortuary. There were bruises on the body and blood was oozing from the broken jaw of the victim's remains suggesting a possible case of struggling.
''We visited the home of the couple and gathered from neighbours that the suspect initiated the assault on the victim around midday of last Sunday for allegedly cheating on him and threatened killing everyone that spoke against his action. The neighbours said the couple extended their fight deep into the night only for them to learn that the victim had died,'' added the Commander.
For now, Mr Gali Golo is still in the custody of the Denu Police assisting in further investigations.
