VIDEO: VICTIM IN BILLS MICRO CREDIT'S ASSAULT VIDEO FINALLY SPEAKS

A woman identified as Hagar Emaser has spoken publicly after she was allegedly assaulted during a dispute with officials of Bills Micro-Credit, despite being a long-time customer of the company.

According to Hagar Emaser, the incident happened when she visited the micro-credit company over the final payment on a loan she had taken. She explained that out of a GH¢10,000 loan, she had only GH¢300 left to fully settle the debt.

Hagar says she has been doing business with Bills Micro-Credit for about 15 years, during which she has taken several loans and maintained what she described as a strong and familiar relationship with the company.

Because of that history, she said she was shocked by the treatment she received on the day of the incident.

“They know me very well, so I was even surprised that day how they were acting and insulting me,” she stated.

Following the alleged assault, the situation has attracted attention, and Hagar disclosed that the company’s CEOs have reached out to her in an attempt to resolve the matter privately.

However, she insists she will only agree to settle the issue out of the public eye if the company compensates her first.

“The CEOs have reached out to me to settle the matter at home, but I will only do so after they have compensated me,” she said.

The incident has since sparked discussions among the public about customer treatment within micro-credit institutions and the need for respectful engagement between lenders and borrowers, especially when disputes arise.

At the moment, it remains unclear whether the matter will proceed legally or be resolved through a private settlement between both parties.
